Volunteer Opportunities
We do rebuild work in NE Houston, an area heavily impacted by flooding during Hurricane Harvey. If you have skills hanging drywall, taping and floating, painting, installing floors and doors or doing other finish work, or if you don’t have experience but want to come out and learn, we would love for you to consider volunteering with us.
We also do other fun stuff like build rain gardens, salvage materials, dig trenches, repair roofs – no day is ever the same volunteering with West Street. Other things come up that we need help with too, like events, searching for appliances, furniture, and building material donations, and transporting supplies and donations. Groups/organizations

On Volunteering
A few words about volunteering in marginalized communities: We are not here to dictate what needs to be done. We are here to listen, ask questions, engage in relationships and work in solidarity with communities that are already established, skilled, and knowledgeable.
